On 31 Jan 2018 me along with two other families checked in to Wind valley. The stay was very comfortable. Homely food was very nice. They provide the music and campfire for new year celebration free of cost....we really enjoyed a lot. The celebration wind up by cake cutting which also provided by Wind valley....But the most exciting thing was the trucking to Steer Rama Rock....which is 3500 feet above the Sea level....our guide was none of other the Wind valley owner Mr.Vinayak himself...who knows the Hill inch by inch....he took Us to each and every exciting points of the Hill very safely.....Thanks a lot Vinayak and Wind valley.... that was really a memorable trip..... Only 10 minutes from here to tortoise rock (aamappara) offroad safari, ramakkalmed, kuravan - kurathi hill, windmill, ramakkalmed trekking point. I must mention the friendly behavior as if it were my own family. Special thanks to Vinayakan, his brother, and his staff. If you plan activities like a barbecue at night in advance, you can sit on their terrace and enjoy the cool breeze from the evening. Rooms are available in good quality and cleanliness on a small budget. Even large groups of 10 - 15 people can stay at a reasonable cost. We recently stayed at Wind Valley during our vacation and I was really impressed by the experience. The place was clean and neat, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, making it a great choice for families. The food was also really good. One of the highlights of the stay was the jeep trekking that Vinayakan arranged for us in the morning - it was an awesome experience. Very nice,Serene and homely place far away from city life.Very refreshing and rejuvenating surroundings with friendly people. Beautiful places of Ramakalmedu, Wind farms and Bird's eye view of farms in Tamil Nadu etc are nice experience.Most friendly family as host with home made delicious food.Mr.Vinayak an ex techie and his family are the best hosts.Mr.Vinayak came with us and showed us all the attractions in Ramakalmedu.My family enjoyed the stay and visit.My wife collected all the plants from them as if visiting a nursery.If you are Visiting Rammakkalmeadu Wind Valley Home stay is the best place to stay as a family.I recommend this place to all family travellers. ~ salin t

We Stayed at Wind Valley Home Stay. The room was neat and clean, providing a comfortable environment. The Ramakkalmedu viewpoint is conveniently located just 1.5 km away, offering breathtaking scenery. The staff exhibited exceptional friendliness and cooperation, enhancing the overall experience. Highly satisfied with the pleasant stay. We enjoyed a lot The accommodation provided a warm and inviting vibe similar to being at home.The host Vinayak was very accommodating, even organizing an exciting off-road jeep ride to tortoise rock(Special mention to the very committed driver). Guys beleive me you won't forget him such a humble person. The delicious home-cooked meals were top-notch, making this place highly recommended. Had a wonderful stay at Wind Valley Farm Stay during our trip to Ramakalmedu. This was actually our second time staying here, and once again they made us feel completely at home with their warm welcome and friendly behaviour. Me and my wife Stayed Wind Valley with a group of Like minded people, Rooms and toilet was very neat, Owner Vinayakan was very friendly and Calm Person, and his family also. The Home made food was just awesome especially Puttu Chicken curry Pappadam Black Cofee Combination😋😋😋. Vinayakan and his team came with us for the 6.5 Km Trek starting at 5AM, Me and My wife walked very slowly due to some leg Pain Reasons, But Vinayakan and one of his team member Stay & talk with us and make us as comfort as possible. As of all Wind Valley is not a Premium stay experience, But it is more than that. Thank you. ~ jibinrajank

Hey All - Wind Valley is the best place to stay for those who are coming to Ramakkalmedu ..Vinay took care of us like his own family 1) We had booked online but he upgraded our room to a much luxurious one with no additional charge 2) He promptly called us when We got delayed in reaching the place 3) He suggested Night view from Kuravan Kurathi Statue which wasn't my plan earlier and it was awesome 4) He arranged an excellent Guide - Arun for me who took me solo for an outstanding trek covering Aamakkal(Tortoise rock) - Ramakkalmedu View point - Ram Rock View point etc.. 5) The traditional Kerala breakfast provided by him was yummy and my family really enjoyed it 6) His place itself is bang on the road but will give you the Peace you would have been longing for.. Overall I totally enjoyed my Stay at wind Valley and these memories will be in my mind for a very long time..Keep it up Vinay and everyone who took care of us 😀 ~ Arun k

I loved staying in this hotel . I recommend all to stay here once you visit the famous Ramakalmedu Idukki. Very good behavior from owner. He helped me to see all the beautiful and adventurous places nearby and also gave me delicious food. I really enjoyed staying here and wish to see more places nearby. So many foreign people had given good ratings . Resort has an attractive farm where rare flowers and spices are there please don't miss to see . Also they helped to do adventurous trekking which I won't forget in my life . Thanks to vishnu he was awesome 👌 a great company ~ Anup P

I stayed at wind walley for a week, as workation. Worked during weekdays, morning to evening and sometimes at night. Sight seeing was either in the morning or in the evening, for ~2 hours, and on weekend. I did not feel like staying at a hotel, it was like my home, had homely food. Visited places like kattadipadam in car, climbed the Ramakkalmedu viewpoint hill, took jeep safari to amappara and view point. Vinayakan is like a friend. Since he is a retired IT professional, he gave me all support to do remote work. It was a pleasant stay Vinayakan and other staff, at windwalley, Ramakkalmedu. ~ Mahesh K

Wind valley Homestay, located close to Ramakalmedu, peaceful place in between nature, full of cardamom and close to the beautiful mountain. I highly recommend to book wind valley for an amazing stay. They provide facilities such as delicious homely food, trekking walk-around the hills and very well-organized staff and services!. Our family, a group of 8 members including kids got to spend a night at wind valley and I must admit I was lucky to find that place. Vinayak, the whole n soul of Wind Valley did exceptionally well in hosting us and is a proud owner of a beautiful property by the center of Ramakkalmedu. If it was not for Vinayak, the trip to Ramakkalmedu would have ended with tht statues and wind mills. From the first phone call, Vinayak was so friendly, he helped in planning whole sight seeing at Ramakkalmedu and he lead us into an early morning trekking which was an awesome awesome experience, he helped the whole family including 3 kids to climb onto the top of the mountain "RamaKalle" and got to live beautiful view of sun rise. The whole early morning trekking was a lifetime experience which definitely wouldn't hav been possible without Vinayak. Vinayak, u hav bn an exceptional host n from da whole family a big thank u for all da help. Dis is one such instance wherein gratitude cant b put in words!! ~ Ribu R

Wonderful Place To Visit. Not much explored Tourist place. Good for Both Family and Friends. Lovely weather with full of Mist and Fog. Better place than ooty or kodaikanal. Very less polluted Village. We all 5 Friends booked a Room with Very much Affordable Cost. Vinayak owner of this resort is a man of Humble who also act as a Guide without any additional cost. Awesome Trekking experience- he helped us to climb 3500ft hill. It was very adventurous and joyful. No-where you will get this kind of Hospitality. Very Tasty Complimentary Breakfast. Lunch we ordered Fish Curry Meals it was very Tasty at low cost. Nearby attractions are many and good to enjoy. Thekkady is less than 40kms from this place. You can stay here and travel to Thekkady if required as the cost of accomodation is much lessor compared to the resorts in Thekkady. Excellent homestay and super clean. Mr. Vinayak is so humble and down to earth personality. He even arranged for a jeep ride to four key places in the vicinity. The road that leads to this homestay is magical. There are flowers on either side of the road. You feel like you're driving into a garden. I'm in fact jealous Mr. Vinayak gets to stay in such a gorgeous place lol Coming to the quality of the homestay, it's thoroughly neat. Bathrooms were proper neat too. They give you hot water on demand. The outside of the homestay has lots of flowers and plants. Love birds were there too. My little one enjoyed it so much. We stayed there for 1 night. The food they make is homemade and delicious. Breakfast and tea was complimentary. As we parted, he gave us a box of chocolates and a small perfume thing as gift. That was so kind of him and a cute gesture. I have plans to go back to his homestay during March of April. Will help me get some Milky way shots. ~ Bhavani K

Last week my family and I had the privilege of staying for two nights at your beautiful resort, The Wind valley home stay was the perfect place to get away for a few days and we enjoyed every minute. We were given one of the rooms in the original part of the home that overlooked the hill station.It couldn’t have been any better. We had a peaceful stay at wind valley as it was the first time we took a long route with our 2 year old son after the Covid restrictions are withdrawn. We loved the ambience of the building especially the beautifully maintained cardamom garden behind the building and even they are maintaining one cardamom plant at the backyard to provide a close watch for guests. For the first time ever we had a lucky chance to see a flowered pomegranate plant from their farm garden. Awesome! Mr. Vinayak was a great host and our son enjoyed the stay.
